Liz Smith Promises Big Scoop On Elizabeth

Elizabeth’s friend and veteran gossip columnist Liz Smith promised in today’s column a big Elizabeth scoop in her column soon!

I’m wondering what it could be… Perhaps details on the Christie’s auction or the memorial? A new book? A commemorative DVD set?

I guess time will tell!

I was trilled to see Elizabeth honored at the Tony’s. I saw her in both shows and I will remember her forever. We were lucky to have front row seats. She was wonderful and as usual just stunning to watch on stage.

Hi Jerilyn! I wish I could have seen Elizabeth in those productions, but I wasn’t born until 1986! It was such a thrill for me to see her in “Love Letters” from the front row in 2007. I’ll never forget it…she looked so beautiful in her orange Michael Kors gown, and a beautiful grey fur wrap. She had on her beautiful coral and diamond earrings (in the book) from Richard. It was just one of those great nights I’ll always remember, you know?

I am so blessed to have seen Elizabeth on Broadway but I am so sorry I never got to see the poetry reading she did for charity with Richard. I heard the audio yesterday for the first time and sent the link to u Andy but I wish they had made a video. She was spectacular & looked so stunning. They always make fun of Elizabeth’s voice and Elizabeth never liked it but I thought it was spectacular. She was a big hit and very proud of her achievement. Philip Burton seemed to truly love her & he coached her for that memorable performance.****I wish Elizabeth had taken better care of herself & we would still have her beauty, charm & passion with us. God had another plan but we miss her every day. TY Andy for keeping Elizabeth’s bright light burning. Sleep warm “Angel Eyes.”
