While we know Elizabeth didn’t
have a singing career, soundtracks to many of her films were released on
LP’s, and some even reissued on CD. One must have for any Elizabeth Taylor
collector is Elizabeth Taylor in London, the soundtrack to her 1963
television special of the same name. The soundtrack contains original music
by composer John Barry, as well as Elizabeth’s recitations from some of
England’s finest playwrights, rulers, and politicians. It is available as an
LP (out of print) and CD. For CD’s, online retailers such as Amazon are
always your best bet, but for out of print titles (the LP’s fall into this
category), eBay is a wonderful source.
For those of you who are curious about Elizabeth’s singing voice, you can
seek out the soundtrack to A Little Night Music, where she sings
Send in the Clowns. |
